Gary Kennedy
Gary Kennedy, a life member of IHHC, graduated from the School of Food Technology, UNSW in 1984.
He has worked in the hospital catering, meat, transport and cook chill industries as a food safety trainer, consultant and lead food safety auditor.
He advises the food service and acute care industries on food safety. He advised SOCOG on food safety for the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
He has written over 30 papers and has written or co-written guidelines and codes for Hospital Catering, Cook-Chill, Smallgoods, Child Care and Refrigerated Transport.
He currently represents IHHC on the advisory committee to the Australian and New Zealand governments on food allergen issues and was part of the team developing allergen food safety training programs.
In Sydney, runs a food safety consultancy and auditing business, Correct Food Systems.
He has a regular segment on ABC Sydney radio and appears semi-regularly on television as a food scientist.
